Ghent’s Industrial Internet of Things company, Sensolus, raises EUR 2.75 million.
On September 26th, Capricorn ICT Arkiv and Quest for Growth subscribed to a capital increase for the IoT company Sensolus. In addition to the current investors, an experienced entrepreneur also joined this capital round. His expertise in international market expansion from within a Flemish context will be fully utilized to support Sensolus in its international growth.
Sensolus is known for developing Industrial Internet of Things tracking and monitoring systems named Sensolus SNT Trackers and convinced the French Airbus about the added value of their solutions this year. Sensolus made sure that Airbus can follow up their recyclable transport packaging from aircraft components between various international manufacturing sites in real-time using the Sigfox network. Today, Sensolus’ clients primarily use the Sensolus solutions to optimize their supply chains, to better monitor deliveries, and to schedule preventative maintenance.
This investment will give Sensolus the capabilities to grow beyond European borders as well. As a start-up with founders from strong technology companies, the investment ensures that the sales and business team can be strongly developed, without losing track of the technological evolutions taking place in the IoT landscape.
Marc Lambrechts, Capricorn Venture Partners will join the Board of Sensolus.
