August 2016 – E-wellbeing trial

From June till Augustus seven families in Aalst used the e-wellbeing application ÇAVA Sensolus invented and developed in collaboration with Studio Dott. and Waylay. ÇAVA is a service that captures the motion of objects used during everyday life activities by elderly people. When deviations on the motion of these objects are detected, the informal caregiver is notified via the ÇAVA app. Also, if people want to add a social aspect to the e-wellbeing service, they can subscribe to the extremely user-friendly photo sharing app , especially developed for elderly people who never worked with computers, laptops or smartphones before. Sensolus developed the ÇAVA motion sensors, who are using the SIGFOX network to send their data over the internet. Wireless sensors, easy installation, no need for internet or wifi in the home and end user control, are typical values Sensolus always put forward when developing their services.

ÇAVA is made possible by the financial support of VLAIO and the living lab support of AIPA.
