A location tag is a small, rugged tag you stick or attach to an asset. Once it’s in place, it quietly broadcasts its location via Bluetooth to nearby smart gateways — no Wi-Fi setup, no wiring, no hassle. Depending on the model, the battery lasts anywhere from 3 to 10 years, so once it’s attached, you can largely forget about it.
A single gateway can pick up tags from up to 50 metres away, and with protection against dust and water, they work just as well in a busy warehouse as on a construction site. The result: full visibility over thousands of smaller assets, at a fraction of the cost of putting a full tracker on each one.
