The smart gateway can be used with an external power supply or without a cable, using the internal battery for the localization of assets equipped with location tags in a dedicated zone.
Smart gateways scan up to 2000 location tags or 400 condition sensors.
You’re curious about whether your assets are located in a designated area. To keep tabs on everything that needs monitoring, you attach a location tag to each asset and install one or multiple ZA 3515 smart gateways.
This allows you to count how many assets are in the zone and know when your assets enter or exit the zone.
You can configure your smart gateway remotely and for example adjust the scanning intervals depending on your use case. When scanning a lot of location tags at high scanning rates, it is best to use the power adapter, but a smart configuration of a battery powered smart gateway can also help out in a lot of use cases.
If you don’t want to use any cables, you can use the ZA 3515 with its internal battery pack. Depending on how often you scan for surrounding location tags you’ll have to replace your battery earlier or later.
If you can plug in the ZA 3515 in a power plug, you’ll never have to replace your batteries.
