Company News
Every year, LogiMAT gives us a clear read on where the industry is heading. This year's edition in Stuttgart confirmed something we've been seeing in our own customer conversations for a while: the era of "let's try IoT" is over. The era of "show me the numbers" has fully arrived. Here are our key takeaways and what they mean for how we think about asset visibility at Sensolus.
The loudest conversations at LogiMAT 2026 were not about the most impressive technology. They were about the most implementable one.
The industry has shifted from “evolution over revolution” — prioritising solutions that deliver measurable ROI quickly, integrate without friction, and actually get adopted by the teams using them. The hype cycle is behind us. Buyers want proof, not promises.
This matched exactly what we heard in our partner conversations at the show. Klaus Menken from Opal Solutions put it plainly: the reason they chose Sensolus was not needing to worry about sensor integration; they needed a ready-made platform they could attach to. Andreas Rief from COT said the same: there was a gap in their portfolio, they evaluated options, and they chose the fit that would work from day one.
The business case has to be clear before the project starts, and it has to prove itself quickly once it does.
We see this with our own customers. At Vaillant’s Nantes factory, the decision to deploy Sensolus across 1,600 logistics carts was preceded by a targeted pilot of around forty trackers. Within weeks, the data confirmed the value. The full rollout followed. ROI was achieved in 1.2 years. Cart utilisation improved by 5%. €30,000 saved by avoiding unnecessary purchases on a single project. Read the full story →
That’s what pragmatic IoT looks like in practice.
AI-supported environments were central at LogiMAT this year. Supply chain resilience, predictive logistics, data-driven decision-making; all of it was present on the show floor and in the conversations.
But here’s what was also clear: AI is only as good as the data feeding it. And in most industrial environments, the physical layer — the assets, the containers, the pallets, the carts — is still invisible. You cannot build intelligence on top of data that doesn’t exist.
That’s the role Sensolus plays. We are the trusted physical data layer: accurate, complete, and consistent location, movement, and condition data on non-powered assets, feeding into the systems and AI environments that companies are building on top. Our MCP connector makes it possible to connect Sensolus data directly into AI agents so users can ask questions in plain language and get answers grounded in real asset data.
AI? Yes, please. But first: reliable data.
Sustainability was a consistent theme at Logimat; but the most practical version of it wasn’t about new technology. It was about getting more out of what already exists.
Modernising and retrofitting existing systems was one of the most popular topics on the show floor. Companies are under pressure to optimise capital expenditure and reduce waste, and replacing entire fleets or infrastructure is often neither economically nor environmentally sustainable.
Sensolus is a retrofitting solution by design. There is no infrastructure to install. A tracker fits onto a pallet, a cart, a container, a cage, and it starts generating data. No ripping out existing systems. No heavy integration projects. You add visibility to what you already have, and you start making better decisions with it.
Automated material handling, SAP-integrated logistics management, smart warehouse technologies… these were the dominant operational topics at LogiMAT. And what they all have in common is a dependency on connected, integrated systems.
Asset data that lives in a silo is asset data that doesn’t drive value. The visibility has to flow into the planning systems, the ERP, the BI tools, etc., wherever decisions are being made.
Sensolus connects with the systems companies already use: SAP, Power BI, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Odoo, and more. The data doesn’t stop at the platform as it feeds into the wider ecosystem. See all integrations →
One thing LogiMAT always reinforces is that no single company covers the full picture. Customers need system integrators who understand their processes, hardware partners who know the specific environments, and software partners who make it all visible and actionable.
We saw this clearly in our own conversations at the show. Alps combines deep hardware expertise with Sensolus’s platform and algorithms to deliver end-to-end solutions for construction and industrial customers. 7iD Technologies blends GPS, RFID, and Quuppa RTLS to serve intralogistics processes that no single technology could handle alone. Opal Solutions and COT both came to Sensolus not looking for a sensor, but for a complete platform they could build on.
That’s the partner model we believe in: complementary expertise, one coherent solution for the customer.
LogiMAT 2026 confirmed that the industrial IoT market is maturing in exactly the direction we expected. Less hype, more proof. Less complexity, more adoption. Less standalone technology, more integrated intelligence.
At Sensolus, that’s been our starting point for over a decade. Asset visibility, made simple. The data layer that makes everything else work.
We’re already looking forward to the conversations that come next.
We are experts: ask us anything, from the battery in the tracker to inventory reports and asset journeys.

The industrial packaging world has remained remarkably unchanged for decades. With mounting pressure from sustainability targets, supply chain disruptions, and rising costs, that era is coming to an end.
Recognising a partner as Strategic is because they’ve earned it through consistent performance, genuine commitment, and the kind of collaboration that moves the needle for customers. That is why we are proud to officially announce TRG as a Sensolus Strategic Partner.
