Interview highlights

1

Two experts, one solution

Alps brings deep expertise in producing industry-level hardware. Sensolus brings the platform, the software, and the algorithms. Together they cover the full spectrum of customer challenges — hardware and software — and can always come up with a working solution quickly.

2

A new generation of trackers, built together

Working with a construction customer, Alps and Sensolus identified learnings from existing GPS trackers and co-developed a new generation — more robust, more reliable, better battery life. That product is now fully out in the market.

3

What's coming next

The Alps hardware roadmap includes the Mini — a smaller version of the current tracker with the same features — the ATEX for special chemical environments including zone one, and the Arrow approved for inflight use. More use cases, continuously expanding.

Working with Alps feels like talking to colleagues — not a separate company, but one team focused on bringing the best value to customers. Whenever there’s a question, anyone from the German team is reachable. That closeness is what makes it work.

The biggest value is that both companies are experts coming from different fields. Alps produces industry-level hardware. Sensolus provides the platform, software solution, and algorithms. Customers always have a mix of hardware and software challenges — and with both expertises combined, a solution can always be found quickly. That’s what makes it valuable.

One of Alps’s best customers is in construction. Working together with Sensolus and the customer, learnings from existing GPS trackers led to the co-development of a new generation of trackers — now fully out in the market. More robust, more reliable, faster, and with better battery life. A great example of what the partnership can achieve when hardware and software expertise come together.

Based on the experience with the new generation of GPS trackers, Alps Alpine continues to improve. Coming next:

The Mini — same features as the current tracker, but much smaller. The ATEX — applicable for special chemical environments, able to go into zone one. The Arrow — approved for inflight use, opening up air freight shipping use cases. Each new product adds more use cases and expands what’s possible for customers.

What the Sensolus platform does is translate data into actionable insights — and that’s where the hardware and software combination creates real business value. An overview of an entire supply chain. A granular asset-level view showing where a jig is, what it’s doing, and whether it needs maintenance. The data becomes a decision — and that’s how value is delivered to the market.
